Stinger Soccer 2010 - Game 8

Coach Troy has our Singers playing great team ball and hustling on both defense and offense. We had a very good opponent today--the Monster Trucks. But the Stingers kept them guessing as they hounded them on defense and frustrated them many times as they tried to bring the ball up the field. There were lots of goals scored on both sides. Thanks to Coach Troy for working so hard with them and helping them learn so much. We are proud of them and grateful to him.

We also did team pictures today, and they turned out really good. We'll have them available soon.

Stinger Soccer 2010 - Game 7

Great game with the Stingers today. The traffic was backed up due to road construction, so almost everyone got there a little late, but before long, everyone was there except Anna Marie, who was unable to come today. We missed her, and look forward to her being back with the team next time.

We thought we might have to call the paramedics for JJ when a hard in-bound pass caught him in the head, but he shook it off and kept going like nothing had happened.

There were lots of great defensive and offensive plays, with everyone getting in there and scrapping, as always. Following are a few pictures video highlights.

Stinger Soccer 2010 - Game 6

I missed the game this week, but Ang said it was a good one. It was a hard fought battle, but we definitely missed Justin and JJ, who were not able to be at the game. We look forward to having them back on the field soon. See some pictures below from the game. I went a little heavy on the pictures this time (there are a lot of them). Please post comments on whether you like this, or if the blog is easier to deal with using just a picture or so of each player. Also, any other suggestions are encouraged.

Note these pictures are uploaded as "medium" sized, so you can double click on them and get a larger view of them. Generally they look pretty good, but if you want one for developing, let me know and I'll get it for you in full resolution on a CD (probably will do that with all photos at the end of the season anyway).

Stinger Soccer 2010 - Game 5

Wild game today, with the scoring going back and forth throughout. Everyone hustled and played well, passing the ball and getting back on defense, as well as going for the goal. We have expert soccer players on our hands...that's for sure.

It was very evenly matched, and ended up being a barn-burner right down to the end.

Unfortunately, I didn't video the whole game as I was doing still shots too, but Ang is helping me with that more, so I should have more video in the future. Hope you enjoy!

Stingers Soccer 2010 - Game 3

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see this week's game. It sounds like we had a tough opponent, but that the Stingers put up a good fight. Here are a few good pictures from the game.
