 This week was a very challenging game, especially because we were without our inspirational leader, Coach Troy.

Carson Races the Opponent to the Ball

 Our opponents this week were very good, and they had a few players who were quite big.  We had all of our players this time, and it was good that we did because we needed them all.  The weather was hot, even though the game was early (10am), and most everyone was hot and tired by the time it was their turn to go out of the game for shade and water.

Jesse Goes After the Ball

 Our scoring was more balanced this week, and everyone contributed in a big way, if not by scoring goals, by playing good defense and poking the ball away from the other team when they got close to scoring.

The game was very close for most of the way, but our four goal burst early in the second half may have put us over the top.

Stingers Soccer 2010 - Game 1

The season is underway, and, despite temps in the mid-90's (though, better than triple digits, right), the first game was a big success with everyone having a great time, playing well, and showing great sportsmanship.  Everyone seemed to really get in the groove quickly and work well together.  We missed "JJ," but hope to have him with the team soon as well.
